Christine Merchent Artist Milestones

March – “Our Town” group show Nickel Plate Arts. One of Christine's pieces was the image selected for promotion to represent the show. She also had 3 additional images that formed a cornerstone for the show.
April - September, Augusta Regional Airport, home of the Masters Golf Tournament, individual show including 8 pieces from the Ballerinas on the Green body of work.

April - Indiana Landmarks - “A DAY IN THE LIFE// GLASS + STICKS” group show
June - Conner Prairie Museum group show. Christine was recruited by Connor Prairie Museum to participate in Portal to the Public: Diversifying the Framework, Expanding the Network. It is part of an Institute of Museum and Library Services grant that expands the existing Connor Prairie Museum program Portal to the Public Guiding Framework to non-science based informal education; training science, art and humanities professionals and museum staff in communication best practices and developing innovative cross-disciplinary public programs that combine topics from science, art, and the humanities.

September - Artist of the Year Nickel Plate Arts
July - group show Indianapolis Museum of Contemporary Art (IMOCA) and the Indiana Landmarks.
July - one-woman show Nickel Plate Arts, Noblesville Indiana

January - one-woman show at Purgatory Golf Club Ballerinas on the Green. The show featured large format images primarily 60” x 40” of self-reflective art. It featured traditional golf stories juxtaposed with ballerinas.

Three images merited at Professional Photographers of America (PPA) North Central District Competition and International Photographic Competition (IPC) all three images went into the General Collection. Four images received ribbon from the Indianapolis Professional Photographers Guild, one in each of the following: Professional Open Color, Commercial Color, Black and White Commercial and Bicentennial Celebration.

July - Professional Photographers of America (PPA) International Photographic Competition (IPC), two of which went into the General Collection, one image went into the Loan Collection. This was the first year Merchent entered IPC.
March - PPA’s District Competition, two images merited. This was the first year Merchent entered the district competition.
Accepted into School of Visual Arts Graduate Photography program but was unable to attend due to residency requirements.


January – Both golf photography books made it onto iTunes What’s Hot list.

August - Top Ten Photographer State of Indiana awarded by Indianapolis Professional Photographers Guild for overall print case score. Honorable Mention Professional Color Open, Honorable Mention Professional Black and White Open.

Oversight of the website, personally responsible for 99% of golf course photography, oversee finances. In the spring of 2014, we hired Billy Casper Golf management company to manage the day to day efforts of the club.

Oversight of support staff and facilities of three company regional offices in the Chicago area, one downtown in the loop, and two in the suburbs. Supervised nine brokerage managers who called on insurance brokers to train and motivate them.

Developed an internal quality assurance program to evaluate the effectiveness of our brokerage marketing division.

Managed the inbound customer service call center, starting with a staff of 10 that grew to a staff of 50 by the time I was promoted. Responsible for: staff member training, redesign of the call center including supporting technology, restructuring the staff so internal brokerage offices had their own special representatives and working with other company supervisors and managers to answer questions more quickly and accurately.
